Visit a pumpkin patch
Pumpkin patches have been a fall tradition for as long as we can remember. It’s a great way to get outside and enjoy the weather too. There are countless pumpkin patches in the midwest so we narrowed it down to a few in the area for you to check out!

Visit an apple orchard
There’s nothing like heading out of the city to get outside and pick some apples. Apple spice, apple pie, apple cider, you name it. Now picture picking your own fresh apples to make some of your favorite treats. Attend a sporting event
With the new season comes new sporting seasons and you can’t have fall without football! The Minnesota Vikings have kicked off their season, check them out at US Bank in downtown Minneapolis or hop over the river to catch a Golden Gopher football game! If hockey is more your style then head over to St. Paul to check out the Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center as they begin their season in October. The Minnesota Timberwolves are heading into their season mid-October as well with a full head of steam, you can find them at Target Center in downtown Minneapolis!
Get spooked at a haunted house
Spooky season is right around the corner which means haunted houses will be back up and running! If you’re into horror films and getting scared out of your wits then this is most likely one of your favorite times of the year. Haunted houses are a great group activity to do with friends, as long as you stick together and don’t get split up! Check out some of these haunted houses this fall!

The celebration was started as an attempt to divert the youngsters from pulling Halloween pranks and runs all month long every year.
